Our 2023-24 Annual Report is Now Available!
Learn MoreSIG Housing Trust, originally established as SIG Investment in 2014, underwent a significant transformation in 2023. Following comprehensive consultations with our residents, it became evident that a rebranding was essential to better reflect our mission and values. Consequently, we officially changed our name and updated our registration with both Companies House and the Charity Commission.
Since this rebranding, the SIG Housing Trust Board has diligently developed a comprehensive property strategy. This strategy focuses on housing development and the effective management of social housing for residents supported by our Group. A key component of our current efforts involves actively pursuing registration as a social landlord, underscoring our commitment to providing stable and secure housing solutions.
Through extensive consultations, residents across our Group have consistently highlighted the critical need for permanent social housing. This need is particularly pronounced for individuals transitioning from supported housing or those directly moving from inpatient hospital care or prison settings. Addressing this demand is central to our mission, and we are dedicated to facilitating these transitions to promote long-term stability and well-being.
It’s important to note that while SIG Housing Trust operates within the broader framework of the Social Interest Group (SIG), we function as an independent entity. This independence allows us to tailor our services and strategies specifically to the unique needs of our residents, ensuring that our initiatives are both responsive and effective.
Our commitment to empowering individuals through housing and support services remains steadfast. We continue to work collaboratively with our residents and partners to create sustainable housing solutions that foster independence and community integration.
